Passionfruit Pineapple Iced Tea
Water and coffee are usually my go to drinks, but recently I’ve been wanting to mix it up a little. I don’t like soda or overly sweet drinks, and juice by itself isn’t always my favorite. I know, I know.. I’m a bit of a drink snob (lol). But I do love flavored iced teas! I was inspired by pinterest to make a caffeine free, naturally sweetened tea.
I grabbed a box of Tazo Passion Tea blend from Walmart along with organic pure pineapple juice and lemons. I always have a jar of local, raw honey at home so that part was covered. This drink was simple to make but packed with refreshing flavors. If you can’t find the specific Tazo tea blend, I think any fruity tea blend would be great! Think tangerine, strawberry, or any flavors that sound good with pineapple and you are all set!
Ingredients:
- 4 tea bags
- 8 cups water
- 1/3 cup honey (less for a lightly sweetened tea)
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 cups pure pineapple juice
Directions:
Pour water into a pot and add the 4 tea bags. Bring to a boil then immediately turn off heat and let sit for 2 minutes. While you’re waiting, pour honey into a pitcher then add the tea and remove the tea bags. Stir to combine tea and honey. Place and fridge and let chill for at least 4 hours. When ready to serve, add lemon juice and pineapple juice and stir. Serve over ice and enjoy!
