Cheese Bacon Balls- The Perfect Appetizer!
For as long as I can remember, cheese bacon balls have always been a part of my family’s Thanksgiving. We would make them the day before so that we would have something to snack on while we waited for the big meal. They were always just what we needed to hold us over. And not only were they satisfying, but the taste was incomparable! Cheesy, salty, and lighter than a biscuit, they were hard to stop eating.
So if you need a little something to hold you over this Thanksgiving, then give these a try! They are so simple to make and kids love to help. If you make them ahead of time, just store them in the fridge until you’re ready to eat!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 and 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions:
Combine cheese, flour, and bacon into a large bowl. Mix together until everything is coated well in the flour. Pour in the butter and mix well until the mixture becomes crumbly. Gather about 1 tbsp of the mixture into your head and press into a ball. Place the cheese balls on an ungreased baking sheet and place in refrigerator for at least an hour. When ready to bake, place in a preheated oven at 400 degrees and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy!
