Butterscotch Bliss Sugar Cookies
Who needs another cookie recipe?! I know you do! Especially when it’s these butterscotch cookies that will surely bring you bliss. Butterscotch always brings me sweet (literally sweet) memories of my Meemaw! Everywhere she went, she always had butterscotch candies in her purse. And no matter how many we ate, she always had more. It was basically magical.
So when I saw butterscotch chips in the store the other day, I just had to grab a pack to make something with them! Butterscotch has sort of a caramel flavor, but much richer. Make these cookies in no time and be sure to pair with a glass of milk or coffee for the best treat!
Ingredients:
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 1.5 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1.5 cups butterscotch chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar then add vanilla and egg. Beat until fully combined and fluffy. Add 1 cup of the flour, baking soda, salt, and 1 tbsp of the milk to mixture and combine. Then add remaining flour and milk and mix until just combined. Stir in butterscotch chips. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until cookies just begin to turn golden brown around the bottoms edges.
Enjoy!
